Hill Farm had a new Shepherds Hut for 2014. This romantic, solar powered shepherds hut has been customised for us and traditionally hand built by wonderful craftsman, using all natural wood. It is situated at the bottom of one of our paddocks, beside a small copse, and offers glamping accommodation. It has fabulous views up the hill, and guests can enjoy the gentle pace of the countryside which can help to relax and recharge our guests, with the sights and sounds of our sheep and the numerous wildlife around.
The hut has a king-sized double bed, with feather duvets and pillow, a woodburner to heat and boil a kettle on, and outside a eco-toilet, and a small shed with glamping cooking facilities! It also has a fire pit which can be used for cooking or warming you up, whilst you sit outside and look at the stars! Showers can be taken in our wonderful, quirky outdoor shower (gas powered) and changing hut beside the hut amongst the trees.
There is plenty of things for our guests to do – from walking either around our farm or the Oxford Canal towpath, a picnic on our hill, cooking your own delicious barbecues (there is a vintage sheep trough with herbs) walking to one of the local pubs, sitting in a deckchair and listening to the skylarks, reading, bird watching, playing croquet, or even going on a bike ride (vintage bikes supplied but not helmets!) if there are more than two of you, you could also book the other shepherds hut for friends!
